EPS Creative Workshops for Kids in January 2017

Exeter Public School is running 3 workshops in the January school holidays for children up to 13 years of age. All workshops will be held at Exeter Public School and run 9:30am – 3:30 on all days. For bookings, please call on 0416 656 737 or email for further information.

Workshop 1: January 9 and 10 – Tie Dye T-Shirt & Dream Catchers.
In this 2-day workshop, children will create their own trendy tie dye T-shirt and construct a unique dreamcatcher. Cost $185. Ages 5 to 12.

Workshop 2: January 12 – African Masks & Prehistoric Clay Dinosaurs.
In this 1-day workshop, children will make an African mask from foraging the school grounds for natural materials and sculpt a prehistoric dinosaur from clay. Cost $90. Ages 5 to 12.

Workshop 3: January 16 to January 18 – Wearable Art Fashionista.
In this 3-day workshop, children will learn what it’s like to be a real fashion designer. They will create a ‘Mad Hat’ and costume inspired by recycled materials, ending the 3rd day with a fashion parade of their work for parents at 2pm. Cost $250. Ages 8 to 13.

Adults Chalk Paint Classes 15th & 20th Jan

Learn how to makeover any piece of furniture with the easy-to-learn and use chalk paint method. The Summerhouse is offering two dates for adults in January. The first on Sunday, 15th January and the second on Friday, 20th January.  Both workshops will run from 10am to 2pm. $180 per person. Inclusive of all materials, morning tea and light lunch with a glass of champagne. To ensure you can leave the workshop with a finished item, choose something that is small enough to carry, e.g., a chair, mirror frame, side table, lamp base. For bookings or more information, call 02 4883 4129 or drop in.

Exeter Croquet Club

Join a growing number of residents and their friends enjoying croquet in our lively club. Many fun games are played and hard battles fought. Anyone at any age can play. It’s easy to learn and various skill levels are accommodated. Just wear flat shoes and be ready for fun. For the enthusiast there is also the more complex game of association croquet and occasional games away with nearby clubs. Regular play mornings are Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
